Lorna Pestana

Lorna’s strengths in dealing with strategic and operational HR issues have developed during more than 30 years in the industry, with most of that time spent in senior positions.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), and a member of the International Coaching Federation. Lorna lists employment law, training and development and advising on all employment and HR-related matters among her key strengths.

She joined the Law At Work C.I. Group in 2016 and contributes to the strategic direction of the Group, after ten years with the Guiton Group as Head of HR. Lorna uses her wealth of knowledge to train and develop others. She is a qualified trainer and executive coach and is now responsible for the HR team at Law At Work C.I. and the Law At Work C.I. Training Academy. In addition, she provides a range of bespoke and open training courses on leadership and management, HR and people management, and delivered the CIPD and CMI courses at Highlands College in Jersey.

She was Chair of the Jersey branch of CIPD for a three-year term and held the position of Board Member of Jersey Advisory & Conciliation Service (JACS) and Chair of the Chamber of Commerce HR and Employment committee. Lorna is currently a Board Member of Jersey Employment Trust (JET). Lorna also looks after our Guernsey clients and travels to Guernsey on a weekly basis.

Lorna is the Secretary of The Neil Hussey Heart Charity and her local residents committee. A mother of two, now adult, children and a dog, she loves travel so much that she’s itching to book her next trip as soon as she’s back from holiday.
